Shrimp Browser
광고는 앱에 들어 있는 Google의 광고 SDK(Google Mobile Ads SDK, User Messaging Platform)가 기기에서 Google로 직접 요청합니다.
- 보유 기간: Google의 개인정보처리방침과 보관 정책(policies.google.com/privacy, policies.google.com/technologies/retention)을 따릅니다.
- Google 계정의 광고 설정: myadcenter.google.com
받는 곳은 easylist.to(EasyList, EasyPrivacy), secure.fanboy.co.nz(Fanboy 목록), cdn.jsdelivr.net(List-KR, 그리고 「광고 차단 감지 피하기」를 쓸 때 AdGuard Scriptlets), filters.adtidy.org(「최강」 단계를 쓸 때 AdGuard 목록)입니다.

Shrimp Browser Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 20, 2026
Sai Bridge People (“we”, “us” or “our”) develops and operates the web browser app Shrimp Browser (the “app”). The app is available on iPhone, Android, macOS and Windows, and it has no sign-up or login. Browser data such as your browsing history, cookies and downloaded files is stored only on your device and is never sent to us. This policy explains what information we receive, what the app exchanges directly with outside services without going through us, and what it stores on your device.
1. Information we process and why
- Download allow requests (optional): sent only when you tap the approval request button on a site where video downloads are not allowed. A request contains only four things: the site’s registered domain (for example, example.com — not the full page address), the platform (ios, android or desktop), the app version, and the time our server received it. It contains no account, device identifier, advertising identifier or full page address, and we do not record the sending device’s IP address. We use this only to decide which sites to review first, and it does not tell us who sent it. A request for the same site is sent at most once a day.
- Email inquiries: if you contact us at sbp@saibridgepeople.com, we receive your email address, any name included in the email, the content of your inquiry and any attachments. We use them only to reply to you.
No other information is sent to us while you use the app. We use no analytics or crash-reporting tools. If the desktop app quits unexpectedly, the error log stays on your computer and is not sent to us. To report a problem, you can open it yourself with “Open diagnostics folder” in settings and attach it to an email.
2. Advertising and personalized ads (iPhone and Android)
The mobile apps show a Google AdMob banner ad in the confirmation sheet that appears when you download a file or video (the download sheet). There are no ads on web pages, in the library viewer, in the video player or on the lock screen. The desktop app has no ads.
Ads are requested directly from your device to Google by Google’s advertising SDKs built into the app (Google Mobile Ads SDK and User Messaging Platform). Google collects the information below; we do not receive it.
- Information collected: advertising identifiers (Android advertising ID; on iPhone, the IDFA, only if you allow tracking), app- or device-level identifiers such as the app set ID and IDFV, your IP address and the approximate location derived from it, device model, operating system and language setting, ad interaction records such as ad views and clicks, and diagnostic information from the ad SDK
- How: collected and sent automatically by the SDK when an ad is loaded in the download sheet
- Purposes: showing ads, personalizing ads to your interests, measuring ad performance and preventing fraudulent clicks
- Retention: under Google’s Privacy Policy and retention policy (policies.google.com/privacy, policies.google.com/technologies/retention)
If you do not want personalized ads, you can opt out as follows. Every feature of the app keeps working, and you may still see ads that are not based on your interests.
- iPhone: choose “Ask App Not to Track” in the tracking prompt shown before the first ad, or turn off Shrimp under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Android: delete or reset your advertising ID in your device’s ad settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads, or Settings › Google › Ads).
- Regions that require consent, such as the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland: a consent form appears the first time you open the app, and you can change your choice at any time from the ad privacy item in the app’s settings.
- Ad settings for your Google account: myadcenter.google.com
3. Services the app connects to directly, without going through us
- Websites you open: as with any browser, websites receive your IP address, browser information and their own cookies. Each website’s own policy applies to the information it handles.
- Search engines: when you type a search in the address bar, it is sent to the search engine chosen in settings (DuckDuckGo by default; Google, Naver and Bing are also available).
- Ad-blocking lists: the app downloads ad- and tracker-blocking lists directly from their original publishers and refreshes them periodically: easylist.to (EasyList, EasyPrivacy), secure.fanboy.co.nz (Fanboy lists), cdn.jsdelivr.net (List-KR, and AdGuard Scriptlets when “Avoid ad block detection” is used) and filters.adtidy.org (AdGuard lists when the “Max” level is used). The app puts no browsing history or personal information into these requests.
- Download allow list: when the app starts, it reads the allow list we operate (on Google Cloud Firestore). This is read-only; nothing is sent.
- AI chat (desktop, optional): only when you enter your own API key and send a message, your conversation and the web page content the AI has read are sent directly to the AI service you chose — Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, Google (Gemini API), OpenRouter, or an address you entered yourself. The terms between you and that AI service, and its privacy policy, apply to this transfer. We do not receive your conversations or your API key. If you choose a local model (Ollama), data stays on your computer. The history of pages you have viewed yourself is never given to the AI; the AI can read only tabs you hand over to it.
- MCP server (desktop, optional): opens only on your computer (127.0.0.1) so that AI tools in your terminal (for example, Claude Code) can control the browser, and it requires an access token. It cannot be reached from other devices. If the AI tool you connect uses a cloud model, the web page content it reads may be sent to that AI company under that tool’s terms and privacy policy.
- Update check (desktop): shortly after the app starts and every four hours after that, the app checks our public release repository on GitHub (GitHub, Inc.) for a new version and downloads it. Nothing that identifies your device is sent, and you can turn off automatic checks in settings.
- Spelling dictionaries (Windows desktop): when you use spell check, the app downloads a dictionary file for your language from Google (Google LLC) servers the first time. Connection information such as your IP address may reach Google, but nothing you type is sent. Spell checking runs on your device with the downloaded dictionary, and you can turn it off in settings. On macOS the app uses the operating system’s spell checker, so this download does not happen.
As with any internet connection, the receiving servers get your device’s IP address and basic information your operating system attaches by default, which their operators handle under their own policies.
4. Information stored only on your device
The app stores the following only on your device. We cannot access it.
- Browsing history, cookies and site data (including sign-in state), cache and open tabs, kept separately for each space
- Bookmarks and the received-links inbox (addresses, titles and times of links shared to the app)
- Downloaded files: on mobile, kept in the app’s own library and not added to your photo library; on desktop, saved to the download folder you choose
- Settings: ad-blocking levels and per-site settings, page elements you have hidden, download settings, display mode and so on
- App lock (mobile): your PIN is stored only as an irreversible hash, never as the PIN itself. Face ID and fingerprint checks are handled by the operating system, and the app is told only whether the check succeeded. Biometric data never reaches the app or us.
- Allow-request records: request counts and times per site, and requests not yet sent
- Desktop only: AI task records (finished tasks are deleted automatically after 14 days), a cache of pages the AI has read (24 hours), AI service API keys (encrypted with the operating system’s key storage), the MCP access token, and error logs
The mobile apps exclude this information and your downloaded files from device backups (iCloud Backup, computer backup and Android backup) and from device-to-device transfer. If you change devices or delete the app, this information cannot be recovered.
5. Permissions the app uses
- Face ID and biometrics (optional): used only to unlock the app lock.
- Tracking (iPhone, optional): asked once, before the first ad, to use the advertising identifier for personalized ads.
- Notifications (Android): show download progress.
- Background activity: keeps downloads going after you leave the app and, if you turn it on, keeps a video’s sound playing with the screen off.
The app does not access your location, contacts, camera, microphone or photo library.
6. Information app stores provide to us
Apple (App Store Connect) and Google (Play Console) provide us with aggregate data such as installs and countries and, if you have allowed sharing diagnostics with developers in your device settings, crash reports and performance statistics. We cannot identify you from this data, and we use it only to fix problems in the app.
7. Sharing with third parties, processors and international transfers
We do not share personal information with third parties. To run the service, however, we use the processors below, and some information is transferred abroad.
- Google Cloud Firestore — processor: Google LLC / task: storing download allow requests and serving the allow list / storage location: Republic of Korea (Seoul region)
- Google Workspace (email) — processor (recipient): Google LLC / task and purpose of transfer: receiving and storing inquiry emails / countries: the United States and other countries where Google has data centers / information: email address, any name in the email, inquiry content and attachments / when and how: transmitted over the network when you send an inquiry email / retention: as in section 8 / how to refuse, and its effect: if you do not want this transfer, do not contact us by email; we then cannot receive your inquiry by email.
- Google AdMob (ads, mobile) — recipient: Google LLC (privacy inquiries: policies.google.com/privacy) / countries: the United States and other countries where Google has data centers / information and purposes: as in section 2 / when and how: transmitted over the network by the ad SDK when an ad is loaded in the download sheet / retention: under Google’s retention policy / how to refuse, and its effect: you can opt out of personalized ads as described in section 2 without any limit on using the app; the IP address and device information needed to load an ad are still sent even if you opt out.
The connections in section 3 take place directly between your device and each service without passing through any server of ours, and we receive no information from them.
8. Retention and deletion
- Download allow requests: deleted one year after receipt. Per-site review results (site name, decision and reason) are kept to run the allow list; they contain no information about users.
- Inquiry emails: kept for one year from the date we finish replying, then deleted.
- Information on your device: we do not hold it. It is deleted when you use a space’s “Clear data”, “Auto-clear” or “Delete this space”, delete files in the library, use “Reset app data”, or delete the app. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
- How we delete: electronic files are permanently deleted so that they cannot be recovered, and any printed copies are shredded.
9. Your rights and how to exercise them
You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you (your inquiry emails), or ask us to stop processing it. Email or call the team in section 13 and we will act on your request without delay. You can also make a request through a legal guardian or someone you have authorized.
Download allow requests contain nothing that identifies the sender, so we cannot find and delete a particular user’s requests. Because we do not hold the information on your device, you can check and delete it yourself in the app or in your device settings. Information Google collects for ads can be managed as described in section 2 or by contacting Google.
10. Children under 14
The app is not directed at children, and we do not collect personal information from children under 14. If a child under 14 wants to contact us, please have a parent or legal guardian contact us instead. If we learn that a child under 14 has contacted us directly without a guardian’s consent, we will delete that email and the personal information in it without delay.
11. Security measures
- Connections to our servers (allow requests and the allow list) use encrypted HTTPS only.
- The allow-request store only accepts new records with the four fixed fields; reading, changing and deleting are restricted to the operator.
- App data is kept in the operating system’s app-specific storage, where other apps cannot read it. The app-lock PIN is stored only as a hash, and AI service API keys on desktop are encrypted with the operating system’s key storage.
- The desktop MCP server opens only on your computer and authenticates with an access token.
- Inquiry emails are kept in a company email account that only the representative can access.
12. Cookies and similar technologies
We use no cookies to identify or track you. Cookies set by websites are stored only on your device, separately for each space, and you can remove them with a space’s “Clear data”. The advertising identifier and ad interaction data on mobile are handled by Google as described in section 2, and you can opt out as described there.
13. Privacy contact
Privacy inquiries and the requests in section 9 are received and handled by the team below.
- Contact: Sai Bridge People (Privacy)
- Phone: +82-10-4124-8668
- Email: sbp@saibridgepeople.com
