Copane
- 광고 차단 목록: 광고 차단을 쓰면 사용자의 기기가 필터 목록(EasyList, EasyPrivacy, Fanboy, List-KR, AdGuard 등)을 목록 제공처(easylist.to, secure.fanboy.co.nz, cdn.jsdelivr.net, filters.adtidy.org)에서 직접 내려받습니다.
Copane Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 21, 2026
Sai Bridge People (the “Company”) makes the desktop browser Copane (the “App”). The App runs on your device, and the Company does not collect your personal information through the App or send it to Company servers. This policy explains what the App stores on your device and where it communicates depending on the features you use.
1. What the Company does not collect
The Company runs no server for the App and does not offer accounts or sign-in, usage analytics, advertising, or remote error collection. Crash records stay in a folder on your device and are not sent automatically.
2. What is stored on your device
The following stays on your device (in the app data folder) and is not passed to the Company.
- Browsing history, cookies and sign-in state, bookmarks and open tabs (stored separately per space)
- The list of downloaded files, terminal working folders and “resume” records, and conversations in the built-in AI chat
- Settings and AI connection settings. API keys for AI services are encrypted using the operating system’s secure storage (such as the macOS Keychain); where encryption is unavailable, the key is not saved.
- An access token for the local connection the App opens for AI tools to operate the browser
Deleting the app data folder (~/Library/Application Support/Copane on macOS, %APPDATA%\Copane on Windows) removes all of it. You can also clear history, cookies and similar data from the App’s spaces and history screens.
3. What leaves your device, depending on the features you use
- Websites: the App communicates directly with the sites you visit. What a site receives is governed by that site’s policy.
- Search engines: text you enter in the address bar as a search is sent to the search engine you chose (Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing, Naver, etc.).
- AI services: when you ask a question in the built-in chat, your question and the page content the AI read are sent to the AI provider you chose (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenRouter). The API key is your own, and what is sent is governed by that provider’s policy. Local models such as Ollama run on your own device.
- AI tools in the terminal: Claude Code, Codex and similar programs you run in the terminal are programs you installed and signed in to yourself. The App does not collect those conversations and only offers the browser features you allow, over a local connection on your device.
- Ad-block lists: when you use ad blocking, your device downloads filter lists (EasyList, EasyPrivacy, Fanboy, List-KR, AdGuard, etc.) directly from the list hosts (easylist.to, secure.fanboy.co.nz, cdn.jsdelivr.net, filters.adtidy.org). Those hosts can see the IP address of the requesting device.
- Spell-check dictionaries (Windows): on Windows, spell-check dictionaries are downloaded from Google servers. The text you type is not sent. macOS uses the operating system’s spell checker.
- Update checks: builds with automatic updates turned on check GitHub’s release repository for new versions, so GitHub can see the app version and your IP address. This is off in development and unsigned builds.
4. When AI looks at your browser data
For AI to see your open tab list, page text, browsing history or bookmarks, you choose “Once / Always / Deny” each time it asks. Data you do not allow is not passed to the AI. Pages the AI opens in its own tabs run in a space separate from your cookies and sign-ins.
5. Third-party disclosure and children
The Company does not receive your information, so it does not provide it to third parties. The App is not directed at children under 14.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with its effective date.
